Dr. Conner Sherwood grew up in North Carolina in a large family. His father, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a role model of his from the beginning, first encouraged him to consider the field of oral surgery. And now, after practicing for several years, Conner is glad he did. To him, oral surgery is the perfect mix of medicine and dentistry. He enjoys the challenge and growth the profession allows while also being able to help patients achieve better health and restore their smile.
Conner received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 2012 where he also competed on the men’s varsity tennis team. He then graduated from dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017 and completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals Clinics in 2021. After residency, he practiced close to home in Danville, Virginia with his father and brother before deciding to move to Lexington, KY.
Conner and his wife Molly have three young sons — Ronan, Hayes, and Grayson. They enjoy simply spending time together as a family and playing in the yard.
